METAMORPHOSIS is a cathartic, experimental documentary that aligns the overdue process of releasing frustration and grief over my father's death along with the four stages of metamorphosis: Egg-Pupa-Larva-Adult

After witnessing the fallout of my parents' relationship and the ensuing decline of my father's health that ultimately led to his death, I was massively conflicted. Mental health issues led to his own family members taking advantage of him in a fragile state, all the way to the extent of redrafting his will to cut me out of it.
The relationship that I had with him shattered any preconceived notion of a functional father-son relationship; however, the absence of such a relationship was the primary factor strengthening the bond shared between my mother and I - a bond that meant more to me than life itself.

I never knew if I would release this documentary publicly because of its highly personal nature. My mother unexpectedly passed away on October 31st, 2016, and four days later, the day of my 21st birthday, I released it in memoriam. Somehow it has served as a remarkable coping mechanism, and it makes me quite happy to have something to reflect on just how damn great she was.
